At LEB, we love working on large projects such as schools and heritage buildings. But we are also a local construction company for people who live and work in mid Wales, which means we’re here for the smaller jobs too. Increasingly, we’re busy making all sorts of houses and apartments into homes.
One of the specialist services we offer is modifications to properties to enable elderly residents or those with mobility issues to stay in their home. Often carried out for local authorities as well as social housing providers and private home-owners, this work usually involves an upgrade to the bathroom to allow the occupier to maintain their independence.
Our team can go in, strip out the existing bathroom and replace it with a wet room style facility, including a new shower and grab rails, all new sanitaryware, modifications to the plumbing and re-tiling.
Because we employ our own skilled tradespeople, we can co-ordinate all the works quickly and efficiently, completing the work without any need for the occupier to vacate the property. Work like this can be life changing for the resident, which makes it very rewarding for us.
We’re also busy helping people to renovate and upgrade their properties. Following the pandemic, many people are finally getting round to updating their homes, or have followed their dream of moving into the area. We’re on hand for all those long overdue refurbs and doer-upper projects. Again, the beauty of dealing with us is that we can provide a one-stop-shop with our in-house team, we project manage the works from start to finish co-ordinating all trades and dealing with any issues that arise, taking the problem away for our clients.
